Hi there!

My name is Brooks Barber. I started designing tabletop games in 2022, and I have been obsessed ever since. I see games as powerful objects that evoke strong feelings: joy, frustration, introspection, disappointment, curiosity, excitement.

In 2026, my little family went on a big journey across the ocean when we relocated to the Netherlands. This was a major life change for us, and it opened up new opportunities for all of us to explore new things.

As part of these big changes, my wife Catie and I co-founded Hawk and Dove to publish historical games that bring their subjects to life. Many of those games will be designed by me, but we’ll be publishing the work of other great designers as well. Thanks for joining us on this journey!
