pitch us your games!

We are looking for new and interesting game designs to publish. Here’s a guide to what will make your submission stand out:

  • First and foremost, we want games that challenge players. We view games, and especially historical games, as vehicles for holding complex subjects in tension and conversation with one another. We care less about perfect simulations of history and more about history presented as an argument between two or more points of view.

  • We want games that are rooted in strong historical research. You don’t have to be able to defend a dissertation on the topic, but you should be able to answer thoughtful and sincere critiques about your model.

  • We want historical games that focus on unique and underrepresented subjects. History is filled with so many fascinating topics of study, and yet a select few subjects receive a disproportionate amount of attention. We’ll consider almost anything, but we will prioritize topics that have not been covered elsewhere already.

  • We want games that showcase the diversity of human history, games that explore subjects beyond Euro-centric military campaigns or political strategy. Those things are undoubtedly important, but we believe strongly that games can represent more of the human experience than they have up to now.

  • We are open to a variety of game weights and lengths. We’ll evaluate anything from small, quick 2-player abstracts to enormous, multi-player day-long campaigns. We are a new publisher, and our production capacity is limited for now, but we’d love to see a spectrum of game sizes and lengths.

If you think your game would be a good fit for us based on the above criteria, please complete the form below and we’ll be in touch.
